So uhh... Hi.

Sorry I have been negligent in my blog writing and picture posting.  It's not that I don't have things to write about, or pictures to post - because, whoa, I have some stuff.  But the problem has just been motivation.  That and I don't really have any real structure to my days.  After work, if I have plans that involved other people, they happen. If it's just something for myself, like "Today you will make the bed and finish throwing away cardboard boxes you goddamn hoarder," I tend to be slightly less enthusiastic.  The blog kind of turned into that. I basically made it a chore before I even started.

Also, the video card in my computer completely tanked.  This is not an excuse for not updating, but it is impeding my ability to run Photoshop. The new one should be arriving tomorrow, according to my feverish checking and rechecking of the UPS tracking website.

Also, that was originally an epic run-on sentence.

I know I promised to do it last night. I was just. So. Tired.

Today has been a great day. It poured last night (and off and on today), and I left my top down on my Jeep. So I ended up with a few inches of water on the floors, the seats were completely saturated, etc.

Anyway! I took a bunch of pictures today. One is a picture of a pair of earrings that have been sitting on my end table for about a week. The other is my cat - because as I was going to sit down and flip through my new wedding photography books, she hopped up and lay down on them (lied? laid?) and really it was too damn cute to ignore. Sorry. Deal with it. :)

My bad, my friends.

I have been quite busy the past two days and have not had time to even write a post - let alone take pictures for one. Wednesday I celebrated the fake holiday of Cinco de mayo with the ladyfriend and some of her friends. (My friends, too? At what point does that distinction need to stop being made?)

Guys, Cancun Mexican Restaurant in N Grafton, MA. So good. So so good. Best fake holiday ever. The margarita was only so-so, but the food was incredibly good (so so good, in fact.)

Anyway, went to Cancun right after work, was there for a while - got home late and basically collapsed into bed.

Last night we made dinner at home, but between the cooking and eating and relaxing ... haha, I know I should have forced myself to grab a picture of something but ... I was a bad and just wanted to chill out and watch ocean documentaries on Discovery Channel.

Tonight I promise a picture.

Today we had some rain. We were going to have some thunderstorms, but if any developed I missed them. A few hours before I was leaving work, I looked out the window and noticed the dark clouds in the distance. 'Perfect!' I thought to myself. 'I'll grab some crazy storm cloud photos for my blog post tonight.' Sadly, the sky cleared up just as quickly as it darkened and I was left with relatively cloudless blue skies when I finally left work.

At least, I didn't find the clouds interesting enough to warrant the effort to photograph. My next goal was to get some sunset shots over the lake. Of course I was maybe 10 minutes too late to get a shot of the sun setting from the vantage I had access to, so I did what I could with what light I had left. I'm not all that disappointed, to be honest.

(Also: I am going to aim for a M-W-F update schedule, and I promise I will try not to make every title a horrible pun.)

Cooking with the ladyfriend

Spiced (cayenne, chili pepper, garlic salt, cumin, onion powder, seasoned salt) chicken with honey. Broccoli. Smashed baby red potatoes with olive oil and rosemary. An excellent wheat ale from Chicago. We was hungry. We ate. It was delicious.
I would have had more usable pictures, but it was so good that we ate it in nearly record time, and it ended up being pretty late so we also cleaned up in record time. And also, the battery was dead when I went to start shooting so ... I missed a lot of the prep work.Needless to say ... it was delicious.

And also, the beer was fantastic. Goose Island 312. If you like wheat ales, you will enjoy this a lot.

And also also, we've been romantically watching Mythbusters again, so it's taken me forever to get this written. I didn't even do a lot of writing.

I didn't post anything yesterday as I was a bit busy. Date with my ladyfriend, then we tried to watch a movie, but the disc they sent me was cracked so we just ended up watching Mythbusters and falling asleep. Romantic, huh?

Anyway I have been very busy at work today - we have a bunch of new teas coming in and one of my responsibilities is photographing them for the website. So I will share one with you. This tea isn't available yet, but when it is I will post a link to it here.

Oh hey, my cat!

Oh hey, how have I not posted a picture of my cat yet? I promise this is not going to be a gratuitous cat picture blog. But it's a picture from today! Anyway, meet Hobo. She is awesome.

I won't post any pictures of her for a while, just as a show of confidence.
